In this role, you will maintain accurate financial records, produce reports, support budgeting and forecasting, ensure compliance, and help leadership make informed financial decisions while working closely with operational teams to ensure financial efficiency and integrity. Responsibilities include recording and maintaining day-to-day financial transactions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll data, and general ledger entries; reconciling bank and credit card statements; preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports; assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis; ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations; processing invoices, vendor payments, collections, and billing; supporting month-end and year-end closing procedures; maintaining organized financial records and filing systems; working with external auditors or tax professionals as needed; identifying discrepancies or cost-saving opportunities; and collaborating with property managers and operations teams to ensure adherence to budgets. Qualified candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with an associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field preferred, along with proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting, proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks or Xero, and strong Excel skills. A solid understanding of accounting principles, excellent attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and effective communication skills are essential, and a valid driver’s license may be required if travel between properties is needed.
